George Harrison's Futurama electric guitar, bought for around £58 in 1959 when he was 16, is set to be auctioned at Julien’s Auctions in Nashville, where it's expected to sell for over £753,000 ($1 million).
The guitar, paid for in instalments by Harrison's mother, was played at more than 324 shows, including performances at the Cavern Club and in Hamburg.
The instrument is on display at The Beatles Story museum in Liverpool until 17 October. Julien's Auctions previously sold John Lennon’s guitars for record-breaking amounts, underscoring the high value of Beatles memorabilia.
